Striped Bass
Prepare for the Fight of a Lifetime
Experience the Power of Striped Bass

I always want to give my clients the best opportunity possible to reach our goal for that day. Personally, striped bass trips are one of my favorites. The fight of a big river striper is similar to the power of saltwater fish. Some fish can range 25+ lbs., while the average fish is around 12 lbs.
Depending on the weather, moon phase, predicted and previous rains, dam water release schedules, etc. I will determine where in Georgia we will fish depending on your requests for your specific trip. Most trips are within an hour of the Atlanta area, but some opportunities will take us further, if need be. On these trips, you will improve the skillset of casting flies at distance and fighting big fish the proper way.
Many different sizes, shapes, and profiles of flies are used depending on current conditions; an 8-10 wt. rods and a good drag system on your reel would be highly recommended. Intermediate and sinking lines usually give us the best chance to get our flies in the right spot. All rods and gear are provided, but please feel free to bring your own gear. Casting the rod you are familiar with is sometimes the easiest.
